Project HER - Promoting Hygiene, Empowerment, and Respect for Underprivileged Girls
Project HER is a campaign that aims to distribute sanitary kits to underprivileged girls to promote hygiene, empowerment, and respect. The campaign seeks to address the issue of period poverty, which is a major barrier to girls' education and wellbeing in low-income communities. Through this project, we aim to provide a sustainable solution to period poverty while also empowering girls and promoting gender equality.
Project Goals and Objectives:
- To distribute sanitary kits to at least 1000 underprivileged girls in the target community per month.
- To raise awareness about the importance of menstrual hygiene and its impact on girls' education and health.
- To promote gender equality and challenge social stigmas surrounding menstruation.
- To create a supportive community that uplifts and empowers young girls
The estimated budget for this project is ₹24,00,000 for 12 months. This includes the cost of procuring and assembling sanitary kits, organizing workshops and training sessions, and conducting monitoring and evaluation activities.
